Kingdom Come Concrete delivered the full turnkey concrete scope for Studio Music Row, a multifamily luxury condo development in Nashville, Tennessee. The project began with a 10,000 square-foot slab on grade at the basement level and built upward through two levels of suspended concrete podium, creating the structural platform for five additional floors of wood framed residential construction above.
Podium construction leaves no room for approximation. Every elevation, embed, and edge condition on the suspended decks had to land exactly where the drawings called for, because the framing crews that follow have no ability to absorb a discrepancy. Our team formed, shored, reinforced, and poured each level in sequence, holding tight tolerances across both podium decks so the transfer to wood framing could proceed without correction or delay.
Working a Music Row site added its own constraints, with limited laydown space and tight access shaping how material and equipment moved through each phase. By owning the entire concrete scope from the basement slab through the final podium pour, we kept the sequence under one set of hands and gave the general contractor a single point of accountability for the structure the rest of the building would sit on.
