Kingdom Come Concrete was selected to complete the concrete scope for a new Wawa gas station and convenience store located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The project included slab on grade placement and finishing within the main building structure, as well as the surrounding exterior concrete work required to bring the full site together. With an active steel frame already rising during our scope of work, our team had to coordinate carefully within a congested job site environment to keep the concrete work on schedule without interfering with other trades.
Interior slab work within a partially erected steel structure presents its own set of challenges — limited access, overhead obstructions, and the need to work in close proximity to active framing operations all require a crew that can adapt quickly and work efficiently under real-world job site conditions. Our team deployed pump equipment to place and finish the slab precisely, managing the logistics of material delivery and crew positioning within the tight confines of the building footprint.
The Wawa project is a strong example of Kingdom Come Concrete’s ability to perform commercial slab work on fast-moving retail and commercial construction schedules. National brands like Wawa demand consistent quality and reliable execution, and our team delivered both — producing a finished concrete scope that met the project’s specifications and kept the overall build on track.
